For a Fourth of July Barbecue:
2 lbs fresh green beans, steamed until just tender and run under cold water
About 2 tbsp olive oil
About 3 tbsp lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, crushed
A pinch or 2 of crushed red pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Briefly saute the garlic and red pepper in the olive oil. Whisk in the lemon juice. Allow to cool. Mix all ingredients and store in the fridge until it’s time to serve.
